Zahra Shakeri, PhD


Research Fellow in Biomedical Informatics

Zahra Shakeri is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. Prior to this, she was a postdoctoral associate in the Data Intelligence for Health (DIH) Lab at the University of Calgary, where she worked on health informatics projects addressing digital public health surveillance, patient outcome prediction, and AI for monitoring food and brand marketing to children. She received her PhD from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary in Canada and her MSc in Software Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology in Iran. Zahra’s primary research interest centers on information visualization, health informatics, digital health, and social media analysis.
